Objectives of the committee

• To coordinate the group’s efforts to increase New Zealand investment in the United States to help New Zealand companies expand their business in the world’s largest market and to help stimulate U.S. economic development and innovation.
• ·       To recruit New Zealand companies to attend investment promotion events, especially the annual SelectUSA Investment Summit, the next edition of which will be held June 23-26, 2024 in Washington DC.  In 2023 the SelectUSA Summit attracted 4,900 attendees. 
• ·       Expansion of the Committee is intended via setting up a second level of Committee experts to include start-up incubators and other entities whose mandate includes promoting and facilitating investment in the United States.  Participation at all levels of the Committee is voluntary. 
• ·       The performance metrics tracked by SelectUSA include the number of successful investment cases, dollar value of investments, and jobs created.
• ·       All present suggested they recognized the benefits of an Invest USA Committee for both their organizations and clients, recognizing it as a vehicle enhancing job creation in both countries, developing expertise, building networks, and driving business to other members.
