An audience with Jamie Beaton, CEO and Co-Founder of Crimson Consulting Ltd

Crimson Consulting Ltd is a multi-national consulting service that provides interventionist, highly targeted education solutions to maximize individuals' candidacy for top universities at the undergraduate and postgraduate level as well as for successful careers. They assist students across New Zealand, Australia and a wide variety of other countries. Their clients have gained admission to Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, Yale, Princeton, Stanford and a variety of other top institutions. They assist students applying to top US, UK, Australia and Asian universities as well as with elite tutoring in a wide variety of areas including SAT, CIE, NCEA, IB HSC, GMAT, GAMSAT and TOEFL.

Crimson was founded three years ago by Jamie Beaton and Sharndre Kushor.  Jamie is passionate about breaking educational barriers that prevent cross-country migration.  They have raised more than $7 million from international hedge funds managers, including Julian Robertson from Wall St heavyweight Tiger Management, which Beaton worked for while he was studying at Harvard and running Crimson.

The company has been on the acquisition path and now includes a number of brands – Crimson Consulting,  CrimsonHub, Ivy+Education, Play Atlantic, Medview and UniTutor. The funds it raised are mainly being used to push into China and build the software engineering capability that drives the online learning platform. It has 13,000 students enrolled in programmes and 1000 tutors.

Jamie will talk about his passion for education; starting a business, raising capital and the future. He is keen to meet and talk to startup companies who are looking at the US market.
